Insertion piping is a trimming often used to embellish sportswear and uniforms. Our braided insertion piping styles have fixed dimensions for size of the bead and the width of the stem. They suit most customer applications and are available from stock or on short lead times when manufactured to order.

For a wider range of design possibilities our woven insertion piping offers complete flexibility of design so that the sizes of bead and the foot can be produced to almost any dimensions requested.

R125-44 polyester / cotton core braided minimum production order 500 metres

Standard braided polyester insertion

  • Produced from a choice of around 60 standard polyester shades. The bead and foot can be different colours.

  • Metallic yarns in gold, silver can be used to on the bead.

  • The bead is approximately 2mm diameter and the stem (the part that is sewn into the garment) 8mm width.

 

 

 

 

 

 
R42-44 viscose / cotton braided minimum production order 500 metres

Standard viscose insertion piping

  • Available in about 25 standard shades. Viscose has a high sheen similar to silk.

  • Bead diameter approx 2.5mm, the stem width is approx 89mm

  • Lead time 1 - 2 weeks

Standard woven insertion

  • Available in 60 colours

  • Open ended designs. The bead diameter can be sized to suit the application. The stem can be made to any width required.

  • Double bead insertion piping can be manufactured. In the example shown a red bead is produced on both sides of the woven tape. , which is subesquently printed to the customer design.

  • Lead time typically 1 - 2 weeks
