Waxed cotton cord and laces.
Round cotton cords from 1 mm to 6 mm diameter and flat cotton cords from 2 mm to 8 mm width can be processed through our wax finishing machine. The cord is polished as it traverses across three sets of rotating roller brushes.
The process gives the cords an attractive sheen and provides a degree of waterproofing.
End uses for waxed cotton cords include cordage for retail swing tickets, boot and shoe laces and a variety of applications in clothing.
We offer a range of around 15 stock cotton yarns which can be used to make waxed cord with a minimum order requirement of around 500 metres. A further 200 standard colours can be dyed within 2 weeks although these require larger order quantities.
Finishing operations
Customers can specify their cord order to be supplied on reels, heat cut to length, cold cut to length, converted into shoelaces with acetate ends, metal ends and treasury tags.
